Acetylated di-starch adipate (E1422) is prepared by treating the starch with acetic anhydride and adipic acid anhydride to resist high temperatures. Acetylated di-starch adipate is modified twice, so it shows the properties of both acetylated and cross-linked starches simultaneously. As with the advantages of good transparency, high temperature stability, resistance to structural degradation architecture, it can be widely used as a thickener and in food processing.
